Your tooth and surrounding gum tissue may be slightly tender for several days as a result of manipulation during treatment and the previous condition of your tooth. This tenderness is normal and is no cause for alarm. If possible you can avoid chewing food on the affected side until your tooth is covered with a protective restoration provided by your restorative dentist.
We will answer any questions you may have about your treatment and you can expect to receive written instructions on how to take care of your tooth after root canal therapy. It is usually recommended to continue routine brushing and flossing and to maintain good oral hygiene after your root canal treatment has been completed.
